We built our house in 2006 up in the drumlins. It can be very windy, so tall plants are a challenge! Husband has planted shelter belts to try and help solve this problem. I adore gardening, I try to grow all our flowers from seed, as it is a very big garden, and would cost a fortune if I bought them all. I am a rose enthusiast, and do buy those as plants. I absolutely love David Austin roses, and have planted them everywhere!
