Im a garden begineer and we have sown our lawn last year and now we are starting planting this year. I have 2 very big beds 10X20 ft- and I dont know anything about flower beds. Can you give me a few names of plants around 8 inches in height with colour that I can plant.

Two beds of this size are not hard to fill.

You need a few shrubs and some perennial flowers. You need to choose the shrubs you like, then find out how wide they grow and space accordingly.

While the shrubs grow to size you can fill in around them with perennial flowers, and more perennial flowers in front of the shrubs, the shrubs in the centre or towards the back of the beds, forming a backbone.

Choose shrubs and flowers according to your own preference, spreading their period of interest through the growing season. Check out our plant finder: https://gardenie.wpengine.com/findsupplier/ and visit garden centres.
