broom not flowering

Gerry,14We have a broom in our garden which flowered once a few years ago, but has never flowered since, it was a russetty/ yellowy/orange colour,should we have pruned it after the first flowering.Best wishesValerie Trimble

Broom should continue to flower once it started, but if it is shaded, or if it has grown very strongly, it might take a break. Pruning would be more likely to halt flowering.
