When is the best time to cut back eucalyptus trees? Ours is c.15m high and hasn’t been cut back in years.

Eucalyptus can be grown in one or other of two ways.

One way is to let it grow as it will in plenty of space and at least 20m away from any buildings.

The other way, if the above is not possible, is to cut it to 30cm of the ground every two to five years to keep it as a stooled bush, handsome foliage and never too high or dangerous.

Pruing is done in spring.
