Daphne Mezeureum

John Callan asked 13 years ago

I have a Daphne Mezereum approx 10 years old and about 5 feet high. A lot of the branches are falling over due to the weight of the leaves and berries. Can I hard prune it back to get it back in some sort of shape or any other ideas?

If Daphne mezereum is ten years old, it is relatively old and they become top-heavy, break a root or two due to wind-rock and dies off.

Prune out floppy branches to lighten the load.
