I plan to grow Danish Noble, Providence ‘Bidstrup F545’ I read recently that there is a new disease that is spreading through Fir’s., I can not find the article so I cant not think of the name of this disease.I’m just wondering have you come across it, and if so what would you reccomend against it and other diseases on the young plants? Plant supplier is of good quality!

The Forest Service should be able to cast some light on possible diseases of noble fir grown as a Christmas tree. Phytophthora root rot can be a problem occasionally, especially in damp soils, and this may be the reference. Root infections are notoriously difficult to control.
