I PLANTED MANY DAFFODILS TULIPS AND IRISES 2YEARS AGO. 1ST SPRING THEY WERE GREAT BUT LAST SPRING VERY FEW OF THEM FLOWERED. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO NOW TO PREVENT THIS HAPPENING AGAIN?

Bulbs often flower the first year because the flower bud is in the bulb already. They need to settle and grow in size to make a flower again and this depends on the conditions.

A scatter of general fertilizer over the tops of the plants on a dry day after flowering will help.
