Cherry Tree

David Molloy asked 14 years ago
Just bought 5 Prunus Triloba trees in Dunnes Stores of all places for €9.99 each, couldn’t leave them behind at that price. Anyhow, we plan on putting them along the front boundary of our house over the next week or so along with sowing our lawn. What size can we expect them to grow to and what distance should we keep between them ? Any other tips for planting them ? Pop them in Miracle Grow or Rooting Powder before placing in the ground or anything like that ?

Prunus triloba makes about 2 to 3 metres, a smallish tree. Plant into good soil, well drained, not too exposed. No feeding is necessary.
