How do I correct this problem without changing the levels?
I set a lawn earlier this year and as it was coming up some large cattle broke in and did some damage. I filled the holeswith topsoil and reseeded but areas are indented. Yesterday same bunch broke in again and ran amok on my front lawn. How should I go about mending such damage? (other than wringing farmers neck!!) when should I do it, it's very wet now?
We set lawn seed last week (first week in October) but unfortunely a day of heavy rainfall resulted in the seed being very patchy (very dense in areas where puddles had formed). The lawn area is very large! What would you advise?
I have a site beside the house separated by a wallsize is about half an acre. Its currenlty full of scutch grass, and its a littli bumpyI want to utilise it, but it will be a project over the next 5 years or so, maybe put Fruit trees in and maybe some other trees. My question is, what can I do with it now to have it level, and not require too much maintanance (e,g, Lawning) over the next few years. Is there a type of grass I could put down whcih does not require mowing but does not get out of hand
Thinking of sowing my new lawn next week, do you think the grass will grow before frost season. The lawn is at a 30 degree angle do you think this is too steep for using a lawn mower
I recently sowed my lawn just over a week ago, I have had good growth in most parts of the lawn, while in places there is no growth, some lawn seed has grown while other seeds have not. I added some grass fertilizer to the lawn,What can i do to resolve these patches at this early stage. Do i need to water these areas or re-sow?
what is the dilution of sulphate of iron do I use to kill off mind your own business, I do not mind killing the grass in the patch.
We are just about to ready our lawn and I am passionate about having a masterpiece of a lawn. I am willing to work hard with it so that it looks like a snooker table. I think there is nothing nicer than an impressive lawn eh? I'm sure you'll agree. So, I want the best seed to use whatever the cost. I want to know when to sow and should i spray before sowing and how long do i leave it before sowing after the spray? Its a pretty big area, about a half acre.
My garden turns into a swamp in winter. Water doesn't seem to drain from the gass with the result that there is a lot of moss in the grass. There was plastic around the perifery of the garden which I have recently pulled up. It appears that the soil under the plastic is only muck. Should I rotavate the garden and can you give me any ideas on how to deal with the drainage problem ?
Can you please tell me what is growing on my lawn? it seems to be a gold/yellow colour fungus that appears overnight and then eventually wears away within 7-10 days - but more and more patches are appearing every night? I can't see any bugs etc so I assume it's a fungus of some sort - also how should I treat it? Many Thanks
