Hi Gerry, I have a beautiful 2 year old acer japonicum doing very well in my back garden. I am moving to a house with no garden - only a small patio - and I was wondering if it were at all possible to re-plant it in a very large pot?. I know the answer is probably no, but thought I'd ask anyway. Thank you!
Cordyline blown over by wind 6 weeks ago. Replanted shortly after, but leaves now drooping (like broken umbrella) - leaves still green. Any suggestions?
Hello Gerry,I planted a cutting from a chestnut tree some years ago, and it has not grown at all. The tree produces lovely, healthy leaves during the summer, but has not grown an inch since planting. Our soil is neutral, veering slightly towards limey, and the tree has got plenty of watering since planting. It doesn't seem to be under attack from pests, rabbits, etc. and I am at a loss as to why it won't grow. It is about one foot in height.I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have.
Hello I am wondering about planting beech and hedgerow around my newly built house. I am wondering when is the planting season over?

Where can I buy semi-mature trees (preferably delivered) ?The nurseries won't sell retail, and they say to go to a garden centre. The garden centres say they don't have anything so big, and that I should go to a Nursery...!?(I know that Landscapers also can supply from nurseries, but I don't want to use a landscaper - I want to do the job myself...)

Hi, I have three oak saplings growing in a single pot. I sowed them as acorns 2 years ago and they are now very tall (tallest is about 4 foot) with lots of big leaves but they are quite slender.I was wondering when to plant them out - I am in a very open area and it can get quite windy. Should I risk it or split them into seperate pots and leave them for another while ? Thanks

I live in an old house and would like to plant a wisteria at the front of it- but wonder how invasive would the root system be? Like many old houses there are no foundations and I have had to put in drainage 3m out from the walls,
