Where can I buy semi-mature trees (preferably delivered) ?The nurseries won't sell retail, and they say to go to a garden centre. The garden centres say they don't have anything so big, and that I should go to a Nursery...!?(I know that Landscapers also can supply from nurseries, but I don't want to use a landscaper - I want to do the job myself...)

Please can you advise me of the best time to replant a container Azalea (Rhododendron v 'Glowing Embers'). It has been in the same container for 3 years, although it is still flowering I think It needs a bigger pot. Thanks.

Hi, I have three oak saplings growing in a single pot. I sowed them as acorns 2 years ago and they are now very tall (tallest is about 4 foot) with lots of big leaves but they are quite slender.I was wondering when to plant them out - I am in a very open area and it can get quite windy. Should I risk it or split them into seperate pots and leave them for another while ? Thanks
i have 3paperbark maples about 3years planted. they are quite small. two are about 5and a half feet and one is only about 3ft tall and doesn't look healthy. they seem to have shrunk since they were planted. would i be as well to dig up the smallest one and fill the gap with something else
Can truffles be found under trees in Ireland. I have found knobbly strange scented items in the soil under my trees - could they be truffles and if so can are they edible?
I have clamtis and honeysuckly for planting. Is the ground too wet to put them in now? thanks
I live in an old house and would like to plant a wisteria at the front of it- but wonder how invasive would the root system be? Like many old houses there are no foundations and I have had to put in drainage 3m out from the walls,
when is the best time to move this tree?
I planted cordyline 'Red Star' which had been growing well in a container for a couple of years, into open ground, this summer. I notice now that it has sprouted from ground level, and I am wondering if this will affect the main crown? It looks okay at the moment, maybe slightly discoloured in the lower leaves. Should I feed it or leave it alone?
I would like to grow a Swedish birch in a corner of my garden that is quite windy. I have clay soil and the drainage isn't great, although it wouldn't really get waterlogged. Do you think it will survive-I have already lost an Acer Griseum in the same spot!
Hi,I'm new to growing lavender and want to grow some cuttings from the plant.Do you have any pictures of what a 'heel' of older wood looks like? I kind of get the idea of what I am suppose to do but I am not sure what a heel of older wood looks like in my own lavender plant.I have provided a close up pic of my lavender bush in the hope it may be of assistance with my query.
I have lots of plants in the wrong places. Is there a rule of thumb about when shrubs and perennials and small trees can be moved? Is there a best-time-of-year, or is when they begin to die down - or is there no overall rule?
